David Gergen, President and Founder of The Pro Player Health Alliance (PPHA) has a long history of working with some of the dental greats. He has taken that knowledge and ran with it never slowing down. Gergen is now involved with legendary NFL Greats and growing sleep apnea awareness throughout communities by taking these players to the general public on the national campaign called “Tackling Sleep Apnea.”
The next “Tackling Sleep Apnea” event will be held in Phoenix, AZ at the Sheraton Crescent Hotel on April 18th hosted by Dr. Gary Core. This will be Dr. Core’s second time hosting an event. Dr. Core found an outpouring of support from the public at the previous event with so many wanting to meet the players and eventually seek treatment for themselves and/or a loved one. This naturally led to growth in the amount of dental sleep patients in Dr. Core’s practice. Dr. Core recently purchased a phenomenal practice from Rod Willey, The Koala Center which is rolling into Phoenix, AZ.
“I am incredibly grateful to have yet another opportunity to work with the PPHA, David Gergen, and the NFL Greats!” said Dr. Core.
Some of the NFL players that will be participating in this awareness event are Derek Kennard, Roy Green, Mark Walczak and many others! Statistically, over 60% of the NFL and former NFL are suffering from Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA). Who better to speak and share personal stories to the public?
In addition, Dr. Tara Griffin who owns another Koala Center in Bloomington, IL and who is on the Board of the American Sleep and Breathing Academy will be at the event. Rod Willey will also be involved in helping with the event as well.
“I am thrilled to see the momentum that we are making to help spread awareness of sleep apnea on a national level with these fantastic NFL greats!” said Gergen. “Spreading awareness at these events and screenings and through radio and television has been wonderful.”
Event specifics will follow in the upcoming weeks.
